Barcelona - Capital of Catalonia, beautifully located in the centre of the Mediterranean Arch!

2000 years of history - Founded by the Romans 15 bc, it was given the name Barcino and was then a coloni of aproximately 3.500 pax. Today it has grown into a metropolitan city with aprox 1,6 inhabitants in central Barcelona. Including all 26 communs it adds up to a number of nearly 4 million people! The language is catalan, spoken by 9 million people, and of course also Castellano, speaken by so many more.

Before the city was mainly known to be an industrial city, but after the city hosted the Olympic Games in summer of 1992, Barcelona transformed from a grey industrial town with its back against the sea, to a beautiful sparkling city facing the sea!

A strong geographical position with a complex network of roads and motorways which will be reinforced by the high speed train in 2009.

The port and airport make an important platform for people and goods.
