The main concert hall is the Palau de la Música Catalana - one of the most extravagant music venues in the world. The palace was designed by the modernist architect, Domènech i Montaner, as a showcase for the Catalan renaissance and was the main venue for the Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona y Nacional de Catalunya until they relocated to L'Auditori. Tickets are usually available until just before the concert starts.
The flamenco is more than often related to Spain, but one shouldnt get mistaken cos this is not the passionate dance of Catalunya. But yes there are some few authentic places to experience real flamenco at its best, far away from the tourist attractions in Ramblas!
If you want to see the dance of Catalunya you can experience this in a relaxed atmosphere every Sunday morning in the square in front of Catedral de la Seu, when locals flock to watch and participate in the local dance - the Sardana!
